The Service

PS Publicity © 2010

Generally speaking, the two main benefits PR can bring are market awareness, and sales leads. Regular press releases that are published will make the market aware of your company and products, and most magazines carry a reader enquiry service allowing readers to obtain more information, providing you with a clear picture of how effective the release has been. Just one of these could result in a big sale, and the awareness will strengthen your position in the marketplace.

PS Publicity believes that issuing a press release is not just a case of writing a couple of hundred words and hoping for the best. The presentation is as important as the content. We’re looking to catch a busy editor’s eye with a
well-prepared release that quickly shows what the story is about, the client, and the quality of the photography.

Each release is professionally printed by a specialist company ... it’s not left to the limitations of an inkjet or laser printer. Attached to the release is a CD which includes the story itself as an RTF file (allowing the editor the opportunity to simply copy and paste), a digital photograph in a number of different formats, and a PDF of the finished release. Hopefully, the editor has everything he or she needs to run with the story.

PS Publicity is happy to deal with all colour separations requests - and makes a very small charge for the administration of those that are accepted by the client.

Our regular contact with editors in the construction side of the publishing industry means we are often called upon to write feature articles. These may concern certain projects that our clients have been involved in, or perhaps a general piece about the industry. We are always happy to take these ‘on board’, and - judging by the number of times we get requests - it seems we’re supplying the right type of story.

All copy - whether it be a press release or a feature article - is cleared by the client prior to release. For each release, the magazine cuttings are gathered, and sent as a PDF - both as proof of publication to you, and for possible use as a sales aid.

Some of PS Publicity’s clients request a variety of ‘specials’. These might be bi-monthly newsletters, or PDF publications detailing case studies. They are used by sales teams to promote their products, or sent to potential customers to see what is possible with the products used.

Wherever possible, these are also included as part of the monthly fee.

As part of the service (and the fee) Phil Stronach visits your offices on - at least - a quarterly basis to discuss the plans for the next three months.
