Having studied Ordinary National Diploma in Building, Phil joined the much lamented Building Trades Journal in 1974 as an Editorial Assistant. When he left that magazine in 1978 he held the position of Products and Features Editor.

Phil left to pursue a career as a freelance journalist, and since then he has written for countless magazines ... not necessarily in the building industry.

Most recently, Phil spent 7 years as freelance editor of Building Products - the best read magazine in its sector. His name has also been listed as editor of a number of other titles in the industry.

Phil’s experience as an editor brings with it the knowledge of what makes a good story and effective press release, the right subject for interesting articles that other editors would be keen to publish.

Phil created PS Publicity in 2005.
